How to Start

In order to enter the chat channel, a Java compatible browser (e.g. Netscape 2.0 or later) with a 32-bit platform (e.g. Windows 95) is a must.

First, input your login name in the top-left textbox and press the "Connect" button at the right side. In the above example, "Tony" is entered as login name.

If your name is already being used, the screen will give the following message,

"Name in use! Please choose another Name!"
"Disconnected."

Then, you have to input another login name, say "Tony1", instead and press the "Connect" button.

If your login name is unique and the connection is made. You will find a list of name at the right column where your name is added.

How to Chat

There are two ways to send message :

1. Send message to all. This can be done simply by entering the message that you want to send in textbox at the bottom. All persons in the list can see your message. In the above example, message "Hello !" is entered and will be sent to all persons in the name list.

2. Send private message. The usage is "/msg name message". You have to find a target person from the name list before sending message. In above example, command "/msg Carmen Hello !" is entered and only Carmen can receive message "Hello !".
