How to change my password of the E-mail account at mailserv.cuhk.edu.hk

For those PCs directly connected to CUHK network:

  1. Click [Start]->[Run],
  2. Key in "telnet mailserv.cuhk.edu.hk" at the dailog box, then press [Enter]
  3. login with your CU id, e.g, bxxxxxx
  4. key in your current E-mail password.
  5. If login successful, the mailserv will echo a default prompt, [mailserv]%
  6. Issue passwd command at the mailserv prompt
  7. Follow the guides shown to you, the password should be 8 digits with numbers and alphabetic characters mixed.
  8. Issue exit command to leave the mailserv system.

For those HA's PCs connected to CUHK network via CSU's proxy server:
